Somatic Psychotherapy Sessions

Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach to healing that works with the understanding that our thoughts, emotions, and past experiences are not only held in the mind, but also deeply stored in the body. It draws on the science of trauma, attachment, and nervous system regulation to help people access deeper layers of healing that traditional talk therapies may not always reach.

Rather than relying solely on talking or analyzing problems, somatic therapy invites clients to pay mindful attention to bodily sensations, posture, breath, and movement. This allows unconscious patterns and emotional memories to surface gently and be processed safely. The therapist creates a supportive environment where clients can explore their inner experience with curiosity and compassion.

The benefits of somatic therapy are profound. It can help people heal trauma, manage anxiety, ease depression, and improve relationships by restoring a sense of connection to the body and self. It supports nervous system regulation, enhances resilience, and fosters a greater sense of wholeness.

By including the body in the therapeutic process, clients often experience insights and shifts that feel more integrated, authentic, and lasting. Somatic therapy offers not just understanding—but deep, embodied change.
