Somatic Therapy in Castlemaine & Online

Body-based, mindfulness-centred therapy for adults

I offer Hakomi-informed somatic therapy to help you gently uncover and shift unconscious, body-held patterns that may be limiting your life. This work is slow, mindful, and deeply respectful of the intelligence of your nervous system.

“At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to supporting you in rewiring your nervous system, shifting outdated patterns, and opening to new possibilities”.

A Trauma-Informed, Real-World Approach

I’m currently completing the final stage of an in-depth, three-level training in Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy, and I’ve been using this powerful method with clients throughout my journey.

Alongside Hakomi, I bring:

  • 30+ years of insight (Vipassana) meditation practice

  • Training in holistic counselling and family constellations

  • A grounded, practical lens from decades in facilitation, consulting, and community work

My work is informed by both professional depth and lived experience — as a mother, a long-time meditator, and a woman who has walked through the many phases of life’s transformations.

Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma & Life Transitions

I support adults navigating:

  • Anxiety, trauma, and emotional overwhelm

  • Grief, shame, or feeling stuck

  • Major life transitions and identity shifts

This work unfolds at your own pace. We listen deeply to what is emerging in you, using mindfulness, curiosity, and care.

Rooted in Nature & Off-Grid Living

I live off-grid in the bush just outside Castlemaine with my loyal dog, Bella, and am mother to a wonderful 24-year-old son. Nature is one of my greatest teachers, and I often weave the natural world into my sessions — through imagery, sensory awareness, or even meeting outdoors when appropriate.

You’ll find my practice grounded, present, and attuned — with both the softness of mindfulness and the strength of lived experience.

What is Hakomi Therapy? | Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy Explained

Discover the healing power of Hakomi Therapy — a gentle, mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy approach to trauma, anxiety, and emotional transformation.

Hakomi is a mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy that helps uncover and transform the unconscious beliefs and habits that shape our lives.

Rather than trying to “fix” what’s wrong, Hakomi creates a safe, mindful space to slow down, listen deeply, and follow the body's innate intelligence. This gentle method allows emotional patterns and internal narratives to surface — often ones formed early in life — so they can be explored with curiosity, kindness, and insight.

With Hakomi, healing happens not just through talking but through felt experience, helping you to:

  • Calm the nervous system

  • Recognise and shift limiting beliefs

  • Reconnect with your inner resources

  • Cultivate self-compassion and resilience

  • Open to new possibilities for how you relate to yourself and others

Hakomi can support people experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, shame, depression, life transitions, or a general sense of feeling stuck or disconnected.
